Bird of the Week, No 136

Distinctive  'snaagh, snaagh' calls brought attention to 2 Choughs (Brân Goesgoch) high over the Maes car-park on Saturday morning, characteristic 'rectilinear' wings with spread primaries confirming the identification. There are breeding colonies on Pen Llyn and the slate quarries above Blaenau, plus presumably non-breeding juveniles behind Barmouth and a small wintering flock around Morfa Dyffryn in recent years.....
